This Yamazaki Mizunara Single Malt consists of meticulously selected malt whiskies, all aged for a minimum of 18 years in Mizunara casks only, created in honour of Suntory Whisky's centenary.
EYE: The deep amber hue of this Japanese Whisky ""The Yamazaki"" 18 YO reveals a prolonged maturation. Slow and thick tears on the walls of the glass suggest a velvety texture and an impressive aromatic richness.
NOSE: The aroma of this single malt opens with floral and fruity notes, with a touch of rose, jasmine, cherry and peach. The distinct influence of Mizunara, a Japanese oak, is revealed by aromas of sandalwood and coconut. Hints of vanilla and honey bring a balanced sweetness.
PALATE: The complexity of the whisky is fully revealed. Flavours of ripe plum, cinnamon and ginger dance across the palate, highlighting the quality of the blend. The silky texture offers a delectable experience, evolving into lingering notes of smoky oak and clove on the finish.
